The launch of Chicago Minds marks an important moment in the University’s history. Building on well over a century of discovery and impact, the campaign advances three foundational priorities—students, faculty, and infrastructure—alongside five campaign initiatives: Health and Medicine, Computing and AI, Climate and Energy, Thriving Cities and Institutions, and Global Community. It also advances the aspirations of more than 20 schools and units across campus.

The campaign reflects a shared vision for the University’s future—one shaped by President Paul Alivisatos, AB’81, Provost Katherine Baicker, our deans, faculty leaders, trustees, campaign volunteers, and generations of alumni and friends. With more than $4 billion already committed, Chicago Minds is gaining momentum because so many members of our community believe deeply in what this university makes possible.

Chicago Minds is, at its core, an investment in people and ideas. Philanthropy makes this work possible, but the campaign’s deeper purpose is to strengthen our global community and propel the University into its next era of institutional excellence.
