Technicolor campus

Remember paint by number? In our interactive web exclusive, you can create your own palette to reveal a fanciful campus scene wherein Dean John W. Boyer, AM’69, PhD’75, cycles toward Shake Day as gargoyles, parakeets, and a nibbling squirrel look on. How many other UChicago icons can you spot?

To start your paint by number, first click one of the numbered circles. Once a numbered circle is activated, assign it a color value by clicking on a color in the palette below. All portions of the illustration with that value will fill with this color. Repeat until all numbered circles are assigned a color value. Save to export your finished artwork for sharing on social media or use as a desktop wallpaper.
