How do you survive winter? Rise above it.

For weeks, we were nervous: we wanted the Magazineʼs Winter/19 cover to feature snow, but the weather wouldnʼt cooperate. Finally, in late January, the fresh flakes we needed arrived. Magazine creative director Guido Mendez and the team from Wisconsin-based Soaring Badger Productions headed to campus with a drone and their warmest coats. For about an hour, the craft roamed over the quadrangles, capturing the icy beauty of a Midwest winter. They left with many more images than we could feature on our cover or in our pages, so we couldnʼt resist sharing a few favorites here.
